Welcome to my one-woman show!

Hi, I’m Carolina (imagine me waving), a recent Fashion Management graduate. Always having had a lust for clothes, I try to immerse myself in every point of its conception - from textile, to design, to construction and its marketing and eventual sale. I started sewing at nine on a Janome Kids machine. Coming from Germany to the Netherlands to pursue my Bachelor’s, I was delighted with the amount of second-hand items (especially designer ones) at my disposal. Alas, I was blessed with mom’s genes and ended up a little shorter than average. But worry not, with my trusty Janome by my side I rediscovered my love for sewing out of necessity and was able to make things fit how I wanted. Eventually, by word-of-mouth and with the help of Facebook groups, I was able to offer my services and build a client base. After a year of experience on my own, I ventured into the big wide world and started doing alterations at a bespoke tailoring atelier and was able to extend my professional skills there. The Janome children’s sewing machine may have changed, but the ethos has stayed the same.

I am on a mission to make you fall in love with your clothes again, whether it’s a piece that’s been sitting in the back of your closet for a year or a tried and true that’s seen better days. Clothes that are bought with caution and well cared for will last you as long as you are willing to love them.
